Hello Trump!

Or why I am ok with a Donald Trump Presidency

I write as a Nigerian. So understand that the problems of Americans aren’t mine.

Let’s be clear, Donald Trump is not a “nice person” and doesn’t pretend to be one. It is for that reason I prefer him to the other option we had, Hillary Clinton, the Neo Colonialist Hypocrite.

Trump’s speech has laid it bare, America First is his policy. It has ALWAYS been America’s policy but it is refreshing to hear it being said so clearly. Not that I am happy with it, but there is not confusion where this administration stands. You know what you’re dealing with.

What excites me though about Trump’s Presidency though is the that everyone is in the firing line. No one is “safe” from his recklessness. The shit has hit the fan for everybody. Not just black teens wearing hoodies. So no hiding place for anyone. If America is solving problems, let her solve it for everyone.

Anarchy levels the playing ground sometimes.

Back to being straight forward. Not nice, but straightforward.

Symbolism for symbolism sake is dead. You cannot criticize Israel’s blockade of Palestine yet sell them weapons. With Trump we know where he stands.

You cannot give Buhari the platitudes yet refuse to sell Nigeria weapons to fight Boko Haram your Libyan intervention strengthened. No more hypocrisy.

No more supporting fighting Al Qaeda in Afghanistan but funding them in Syria. The bullshit era is over.

That hypocrisy of which I have been on the receiving end has been my biggest peeve with the establishment of which Mr Trump’s ascent is putting asunder.

Moreover, I’d like to see what happens when not normal become the normal. This would be an exciting 4 years. More or less.
